About Me

Lynne J Thompson. Over 25 years experience with computers and computer software.

I am in my 9th year of tutoring and coaching in the adult learning sector. Prior to that I have worked in PA and secretarial roles, temporary and permanent, both in private and public settings. The NHS in Birmingham and Dudley, Birmingham University, Birmingham City Council,National Machinery UK, are just some of the organisations I have worked for. This has furnished me with a comprehensive knowledge regarding performing administration and general office tasks, office management, project management and event organising.

A former IT tutor with Worcester College of Technology for over 3 years, delivering Learndirect programmes in beginners computing and Microsoft Office applications. Both face to face and within an e-learning setting. It is here that I discovered my aptitude for coaching and mentoring.

I enjoy working with computers and can be a bit of gadget geek, but most people see IT as something they have to do, not what they want to do. I realised that through the coaching and skills building, people who are not so keen on IT, or dread the idea of a training settings, would gain more benefit from this approach.
